Thirty Aussie Cents only gets me EIGHT minutes of parking in the City. 30C = 8 minutes. *sigh*. Inflation has come a long long way from when i was a lil' kiddo. Money has definetly grown smaller as i've grown bigger - although that could be relative in size?
In junior school all i'd get was fifty cents. 30C spent on Nasi Lemak and 20C left either for a drink or for a packet of keropok. Enough to fill my tummy from break till lunch time. Senior school i remember McHassan's used to raise their prices every year by 10% at least. So by the time i reached form 5, half a handful of Hacks/Hudsons saw me parting with 30cents. That very thirty cents that would have bought me a packet of Nasi Lemak that would fill me up nicely, only could buy me 5 Hacks/Hudsons!?
Back to the present - 30 Cents equals EIGHT minutes of parking time. How money has depreciated. and this is not even converting it back to RINGGIT. WHERE HAS THE MONEY GONE???
