Let's talk tomatoes

I take ages to choose my tomatoes. Seriously. 15 minutes average I will stand at the tomato stand picking my tomatoes. Only the most perfect ones would do. Deep red, well rounded, no mars or dents on it's sides, firm & absolutely smooth skin. I wonder why. WHY must my tomatoes be so nicely formed? WHY? A hint of slight deformation and it'll get tossed into the huge pile of other deformed tomatoes. Sometimes i also don't understand myself. I can't accept a slightly deformed tomato, i must have a nice rounded one, it can be a bit orange, but that's only because i know it'll turn red if i leave it out for a day or so - give it time to be perfect. Never buy tomatoes in bags because they give you aging yucky deformed tomatoes (evelyn bought a bag once and we ended up throwing it away *shurgs* even bibit didn't want it).

The perfect tomato...at the rate i eat tomatoes i'm surprised actually that there are so many perfect tomatoes out there and i'm glad there are people out there who would buy deformed tomatoes.

I think i know why i am so picky about tomatoes. Because i eat them whole, with salt. I can't stand biting into something that looks deformed. I can't stand looking at something with ugly brown lines running across it or with a squishy feel to it. Yup. that must be it, not some obsessive compulsive disorder for perfect tomatoes...
