I have come to conclusion about penang drivers. We are all psychic, even if we are not; the ability to be will come naturally. The more experienced the driver the stronger his/her powers are.


1) There is no reason to bother with the left and right indicators because if one is going to change lanes or turn a corner the guy behind WILL KNOW IT.

2) The motorist know the exact second that the traffic light is going to turn green. So much so that even without the minute counters, their engines move fowards at the exact second the light changes.

3) At a glance you can tell if that uncle on your right wants to jump que and get in front of you. Being the lovable Penang driver that one is, the only thing to do in such a situation is to stick as close as possible to the car in front of you - the other guy will get the "HINT".

4) The car behind you assumes that the road in front of you is always ALL CLEAR so mind you, drive faster please...

5) Or at a junction, the roads will ALWAYS be clear or the distance between cars moving along will ALWAYS be WIDE enough for you to go, move it.

SURE. Penang drivers are such a wonderful bunch, aren't we?
